About Us
Our love affair with Dobermans began in late 1981 when our family was looking for something to replace our beloved Siberian Husky who had passed away. Our youngest son had fallen in love with two black Doberman bitches that he had seen in obedience classes. So, we set out to find a pet black bitch with a good temperament. One month later we came home with our first Doberman, a red male we named Magnum. It was the best decision we ever made, and we became absolutely enamored with the breed. Although we were not looking to add to our Doberman family, two years later eleven month old Vikki became a part of our lives. And as they say, “the rest is history.”
Scarlet Night Dobermans officially began in 1986 with our first litter out of our two foundation dogs when we took a word from each of their ACK names to create our kennel name Scarlet Night.

Our first homebred champion from that litter was Ch. Scarlet Night Melody of Love, CD, Rom, LC-10, BFL-1. We have produced a number of champions with a limited breeding program.
We are members of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America, Schooley's Mountain Kennel Club, and the New Jersey Federation of Dog Clubs. We strive to breed to the AKC standard to produce dogs with good longevity who are sound in body and temperament and are a pleasure to live with.
